Allows North Carolina physicians licensed to practice medicine to prescribe FDA-approved therapeutic drugs for off-label use in treating coronavirus infections causing respiratory syndrome-related illnesses in at-home, early-stage outpatient, or hospital inpatient settings.

Protects physicians acting in good faith under this provision from being charged with immoral, dishonorable, or unprofessional conduct as defined in G.S. 90-14(a)(1) and G.S. 90-14(a)(6).

Does not provide physicians with greater liability protection than already exists under Article 1B of Chapter 90 or other applicable state law.

Requires the North Carolina Medical Board to adopt temporary rules implementing the act's provisions.

Appropriates $10,000 from the General Fund to the Department of Health and Human Services for publicizing the act's effects to health care providers, effective July 1, 2022; remainder of act effective October 1, 2022.
