Establishes a 23-member Joint Legislative Study Committee on Uniform Pretrial Release Procedures to develop statewide standards and recommendations.

Committee shall study uniform procedures for pretrial release programs, treatment of defendants who fail to appear or comply with judgments, conditions for low-level offenders, and state-funded house arrest and electronic monitoring programs.

Committee membership includes 2 senators, 2 representatives, 2 general assembly members, 3 superior court judges, 3 district court judges, 2 public members, 1 private attorney, 1 sheriff, 1 police chief, 1 victims' rights representative, and representatives from district attorneys, courts administration, indigent defense, court clerks, and magistrates.

Committee must submit interim report by April 1, 2022, and final report by December 1, 2022, then terminate.

Act becomes effective immediately upon enactment.
