Appropriates $2,300,000 in recurring funds annually for fiscal years 2021-2023 to the Department of Public Safety, Division of Emergency Management for the State Search and Rescue Program.

Funds shall be used in partnership with local government units to purchase equipment, maintain equipment, and provide other items necessary for statewide search and rescue services.

Local agencies may satisfy any match requirements established by the Secretary through cash payments or in-kind contributions.

Act becomes effective July 1, 2021.

Addresses previous funding gaps from the vetoed 2019 Appropriations Act that prevented delivery of originally authorized search and rescue program funds.
