Appropriates $42,200,000 in nonrecurring funds from the General Fund to the UNC School of the Arts for planning, repairs, and renovations of the Stevens Center for the 2021-2022 fiscal year

Funds designated for upgrades to plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and life safety systems in the 77,500 square foot Stevens Center building, as well as theater sound, lighting, and stage equipment improvements

Renovation goals include preserving classroom use opportunities, improving patron experience, increasing venue turnover capacity in the stage house, and enhancing back of house and rehearsal space

Funds remain available until June 30, 2025, and do not revert to the General Fund at the end of the 2021-2022 fiscal year

Act becomes effective July 1, 2021
