Establishes separate school achievement and school growth grades for all schools, replacing the previous combined overall performance grade system.

School achievement grades are based on a scale of 85-100 (A), 70-84 (B), 55-69 (C), 40-54 (D), below 40 (F), while school growth grades use a scale of 90-100 (A), 80-89 (B), 70-79 (C), 60-69 (D), below 60 (F).

Maintains the overall school performance score calculation by weighting achievement at 80 percent and growth at 20 percent for federal compliance purposes, but reports achievement and growth separately.

Requires schools serving grades K-8 to report separate achievement and growth performance scores and grades for reading and mathematics.

Effective January 1, 2022, and applies to school report cards issued based on data from the 2021-2022 school year forward.
