• Allows any U.S. citizen age 18 or older to carry a concealed handgun without a permit, effective December 1, 2021, unless prohibited by state or federal law.

• Establishes list of disqualifications for carrying concealed handguns including felony convictions, fugitive status, unlawful drug use, mental health adjudications, and domestic violence convictions.

• Continues to make concealed handgun permits available for purposes of reciprocity with other states and firearm purchases, though permits are no longer required.

• Prohibits concealed handgun carry in law enforcement facilities, correctional facilities, areas prohibited by federal law, and private premises with posted notice.

• Violation of carry restrictions is a Class 2 misdemeanor for first offense and Class H felony for subsequent offense; violation of disclosure requirements to law enforcement is an infraction.
