Allows prosecutors to decline transferring juveniles age 16 and older to superior court for crimes that would be Class A through G felonies if committed by an adult

Mandatory transfer to superior court previously occurred automatically when a juvenile 16+ was charged with these felony-level offenses; prosecutors can now keep cases in juvenile court instead

If a prosecutor declines superior court prosecution, the case remains in juvenile court following a probable cause finding, but the prosecutor may still elect to transfer before adjudication

Applies to offenses committed on or after December 1, 2021
