Requires at least one full-time, permanent school nurse to be employed in every school within North Carolina public school units, including traditional public schools, charter schools, regional schools, and laboratory schools beginning in the 2021-2022 school year

Applies mandates to local boards of education, the State Board of Education, charter schools, regional schools, and laboratory schools through amendments to General Statutes sections 115C-47, 115C-12, 115C-218.75, 115C-238.66, and 116-239.8(b)

Appropriates $102,000,000 in recurring General Fund dollars to the Department of Public Instruction for the 2021-2022 fiscal year to increase the Instructional Support Allotment for hiring school nurses

Requires appropriated funds to supplement rather than replace existing school nurse funding

Becomes effective July 1, 2021, with the school nurse requirement applying starting with the 2021-2022 school year
