• Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Board of Education shall consist of nine members with staggered four-year terms beginning in 2022, with some members serving initial two-year terms to implement staggering (two from District 1, four from District 2, three at-large).

• Members of Winston-Salem/Forsyth Board elected in 2018 retain their original terms and are not affected by the new staggering provisions.

• Wake County Board of Education shall implement four-year staggered terms with elections held in odd-numbered years, effective December 4, 2023.

• In the 2022 Wake County Board election, the four districts receiving the highest vote counts shall elect members to three-year terms, while remaining five districts shall elect members to one-year terms to establish staggering.

• Members of Wake County Board elected in 2020 retain their original terms and are unaffected by the new staggering provisions.
