Appropriates $153,152 in recurring annual funds for the 2021-2023 fiscal biennium to fund a full-time administrative law judge position in the Office of Administrative Hearings.

Appropriates $27,553 in recurring annual funds for the 2021-2023 fiscal biennium to fund a part-time paralegal position supporting the administrative law judge.

Appropriates $38,700 in recurring annual funds for the 2021-2023 fiscal biennium to establish and operate an Office of Administrative Hearings field office in southeastern North Carolina for business-related cases.

Directs the Chief Administrative Law Judge to appoint a full-time judge with requisite experience in business-related cases and assign that judge to preside over cases at the new southeastern field office.

Effective date is July 1, 2021.
