North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services shall resume deployment of NC FAST (North Carolina Families Accessing Services through Technology) case management system for child welfare and aging and adult services programs

Child welfare case management component must be deployed statewide before July 1, 2022, based on prior departmental reports from September 2020 and June 2020

Division of Social Services must enter into a contract to augment and enhance the child welfare case management component before January 1, 2022, considering recommendations from the Executive Advisory Committee and software already used by county departments

$17,262,882 in nonrecurring funds appropriated from the General Fund to the Division of Social Services for fiscal year 2021-2022 to implement these provisions

Act becomes effective July 1, 2021
