Reduces work experience requirement for cosmetology teachers from 5 years to 1 year of full-time work in a cosmetic art shop or Board-approved capacity, or alternatively requires completion of at least 800 hours of a cosmetology teacher curriculum.

Reduces work experience requirement for esthetician teachers from 3 years to 1 year of full-time work in a cosmetic art shop or Board-approved capacity, or alternatively requires completion of at least 650 hours of an esthetician teacher curriculum.

Reduces work experience requirement for manicurist teachers from 2 years to 1 year of full-time work in a cosmetic art shop or Board-approved capacity, or alternatively requires completion of at least 320 hours of a manicurist teacher curriculum.

Reduces work experience requirement for natural hair care teachers from 2 years to 1 year of full-time work in a cosmetic art shop or Board-approved capacity, or alternatively requires completion of at least 320 hours of a natural hair care teacher curriculum.

Becomes effective October 1, 2021, and applies to all applications for licensure on or after that date.
