Department of Health and Human Services shall develop model infection prevention and control policies and procedures consistent with national standards for use by adult care homes, and post them on its website.

Department shall develop a mandatory annual course for adult care home supervisors on implementing the model infection prevention and control policies and procedures.

Adult care home supervisors who successfully complete the mandatory infection control course receive continuing education credits as determined by the Department.

Department must complete development and posting of the model policies and the supervisor training course by December 1, 2021.

Act becomes effective December 1, 2021.
