ABC Commission shall defer payment of ABC permit renewal and registration fees for May 1, 2021 through April 30, 2022 until October 1, 2021, and renew permits without payment upon submission of a recycling plan.

Fee deferral applies to 13 permit types including on-premises malt beverage, wine, mixed beverage, culinary, tasting, and entertainment permits active as of April 30, 2021.

Permittees previously subject to closure orders under Executive Order No. 141 during the 2020-2021 permit year may request refunds of fees already paid, with no repayment requirement if the business was permanently closed.

Any permittee receiving a refund for deferred fees must repay by October 1, 2021, or within 10 business days thereafter, and permits remain active during the deferral period.

Permits not covered by the deferral must be renewed by April 30, 2022, or the ABC Commission will not cancel or move them to inactive status.
