Establishes a three-year Mental Health Triage Unit Pilot Program administered by the State Board of Education, expiring June 30, 2024.

Selects up to eight local school administrative units to participate based on available resources, student mental health impact, and history of traumatic events.

Provides $250,000 annually to each participating unit to establish and maintain at least one mental health triage unit staffed with a school nurse, school social worker, and licensed clinical mental health counselor.

Requires mental health triage units to provide resources to students and staff and respond to mental health emergencies during school operating hours.

Appropriates $2,000,000 in recurring funds from the General Fund to the Department of Public Instruction for fiscal year 2021-2022, effective July 1, 2021.
