Appropriates $50,000 in nonrecurring General Fund monies to the Orange Street School Restoration and Historical Association, Inc. for the 2021-2022 fiscal year to restore the historic Orange Street School building in Fayetteville, which was built in 1915 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Appropriates $100,000 in nonrecurring General Fund monies to the Sandhills Family Heritage Association for the 2021-2022 fiscal year to renovate and restore the historic Spring Lake Civic Center building, built in 1945.

The restored Spring Lake Civic Center will serve as a meeting space, feature displays and tours on African American history and culture in the Sandhills area, house SFHA programs and activities, and function as a community engagement hub.

Becomes effective July 1, 2021.
