Public high school students may participate in a sport at the nearest public high school that offers the sport, subject to regular enrollment terms and conditions, with schools able to charge reasonable participation fees to non-enrolled students.

Private school and home school students may participate in sports at their base public high school or, if that school lacks the program, at the closest public high school offering the sport, subject to regular enrollment terms and conditions and reasonable participation fees.

High school students from home schools or private schools may participate in extracurricular activities not offered at their school at their base public high school or the nearest public high school offering the activity.

Public high school students may participate in extracurricular activities not offered at their school at the nearest public high school offering the activity.

Local boards of education must establish and publish a schedule of approved fees for non-enrolled students participating in sports and extracurricular activities on their website by October 15 of each school year.
