Appropriates $5,000,000 in nonrecurring funds from the General Fund to the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, Office of Archives and History for the 2021-2022 fiscal year to establish a historic school preservation grant program.

Directs the Department to provide grants to local governments and nonprofit organizations to rehabilitate certified historic structures that were initially used for educational purposes.

Establishes a maximum grant limit of $250,000 per recipient or new project for the 2021-2022 fiscal year.

Allows unused funds to carry forward beyond the 2021-2022 fiscal year and remain available for historic school preservation grants until all funds are expended.

Becomes effective July 1, 2021.
