Senate Bill 326 Summary

• Extended the deadline for mail-in absentee ballots to be received and counted from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on election day, with postmarked ballots accepted up to three days after the election.

• Required county boards of elections and the State Board to publish the date when absentee ballots become available for voting and the deadline for requesting an absentee ballot on their websites and voter materials.

• Established daily reporting requirements for county boards to submit to the State Board the number of counted absentee ballots, outstanding absentee ballots, and voted provisional ballots from the day after election day through the receipt deadline.

• Required the State Board to publish all county ballot reports on its website each day in a readable and usable format for public access.

• Applied to all elections held on or after the date the bill became law, effective upon ratification on November 22, 2021.
