Appropriates $271,000,000 from the General Fund to the Department of Public Instruction for the 2021-2022 fiscal year in recurring funds.

Requires allocation to local school administrative units to provide one full-time teacher assistant for every kindergarten, first, and second grade classroom.

Requires allocation to provide one full-time teacher assistant for every three third grade classrooms.

Distributes funds based on estimated statewide average salary and benefits per position and an average class size of 21 students per classroom.

Takes effect July 1, 2021.
