Prohibits defendants from using discovery, perception, or belief about a victim's sex, gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation as a legal defense in homicide prosecutions under Article 6 of Chapter 14.

Prohibits the same sex or gender-based discovery, perception, or belief defense in assault prosecutions under Article 8 of Chapter 14.

Prevents such discovery or belief from negating malice as an element of murder charges.

Preserves the admissibility of evidence regarding a victim's or witness's conduct, behavior, or statements if relevant and otherwise admissible under law.

Becomes effective December 1, 2021, and applies only to offenses committed on or after that date.
