Allows public bodies within a declared emergency area to conduct remote meetings in accordance with state law throughout the duration of the emergency declaration.

Permits public bodies to convert a scheduled in-person meeting to a remote meeting with no less than six hours notice prior to the meeting's scheduled time.

Authorizes public bodies to conduct public hearings remotely during a state of emergency, provided written comments are accepted from the publication of required notice through 24 hours after the noticed hearing time.

Establishes that a remote meeting is presumed open to the public if the public body complies with the requirements specified in the statute.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
