Appropriates $1,330,800 from the General Fund to Bertie County for the 2022-2023 fiscal year for: Blue Jay Recreational Center equipment and improvements ($132,300), new county animal shelter planning and construction ($900,000), Long Branch and Colerain drainage and flood control improvements ($198,500), and Affordable Housing for Teachers Initiative ($100,000).

Appropriates $8,515,000 from the General Fund to the Department of Public Instruction for the 2022-2023 fiscal year for various school facility improvements across six Bertie County schools.

Aulander Elementary School receives $1,515,000 for rooftop units, HVAC systems, building automation, windows, and doors.

Bertie High School receives $3,000,000 for software upgrades, cooling system repairs, and athletic facility improvements.

Bertie Middle School receives $1,100,000; Colerain Elementary receives $390,000; West Bertie Elementary receives $1,630,000; and Windsor Elementary receives $880,000 for various HVAC, chiller, boiler, automation, and window/door replacements.
