Senate Bill 834 Summary

• Adds a new category of eligible businesses called "supply-chain-impact manufacturing employers" to the Job Maintenance and Capital Development Fund program, defined as manufacturers producing building materials who are transitioning away from coal-based energy byproducts.

• Supply-chain-impact manufacturing employers must invest at least $110,000,000 in improvements over five years, maintain at least 420 full-time employees statewide, and have operations in a development tier two area.

• Increases the maximum number of grant agreements from seven to eight under the JMAC program.

• Increases the total aggregate cost limit for all JMAC agreements from $154,000,000 to $159,000,000.

• Becomes effective upon enactment.
