Establishes the Artificial Intelligence Study Committee to examine AI's impacts on state and local government, business, citizens, operations, and elections, and to develop legislative proposals addressing AI-related issues.

Committee composition includes 12 legislators (3 House majority, 3 Senate majority, 3 House minority, 3 Senate minority), 6 appointed experts in AI/cybersecurity/learning programs (3 from Governor, 3 from Lieutenant Governor), 2 Attorney General appointees with consumer protection expertise, 2 Commerce Secretary appointees with economic development expertise, and 2 department secretaries.

Committee has three chairs: one selected by House Speaker, one by Senate President Pro Tempore, and the Department of Information Technology Secretary as the third chair.

Initial terms begin September 1, 2024, with subsequent two-year terms starting in odd-numbered years; vacancies must be filled within 30 days.

Appropriates $100,000 to the Department of Information Technology for fiscal year 2024-2025 for committee operations and continued AI monitoring; act expires June 30, 2029.
