• Revises death investigation procedures for the Office of Chief Medical Examiner, including requirements for comprehensive toxicology screening in all child death cases and authorizing district attorneys to request complete investigation files.

• Modifies impaired driving laws to allow ignition interlock systems on designated vehicles for limited driving privileges, with mandatory ignition interlock requirements for drivers with alcohol concentration of 0.15 or higher, and extends the permit term if violations occur in final 90 days.

• Extends license plate reader pilot program deadlines from July 1, 2025 to July 1, 2026 and requires participating agencies to provide written policies, data capture numbers, and information on data preservation to the State Bureau of Investigation.
