Requires all local school administrative unit employees involved in making or administering contracts to complete a minimum of two hours of conflicts of interest training.

Training must occur once every odd-numbered year, with initial training within 90 days of assuming contract-related responsibilities.

Training content must include position-specific education on conflicts of interest and ethical standards of conduct.

Local boards of education may select training providers, including the School of Government at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill or other qualified sources.

Employees currently involved in contract administration must complete initial training within six months of the act's effective date.
