Prohibits use of discovery, perception, or belief about a person's sex, gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation as a legal defense in homicide prosecutions under Article 6 of Chapter 14 of the General Statutes.

Prohibits use of discovery, perception, or belief about a person's sex, gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation as a legal defense in assault prosecutions under Article 8 of Chapter 14 of the General Statutes.

Specifies that such discovery, perception, or belief cannot negate malice as an element of murder, regardless of accuracy.

Preserves the admissibility of evidence regarding a victim's or witness's conduct, behavior, or statements when relevant and otherwise admissible under law.

Effective December 1, 2023, and applies only to offenses committed on or after that date; does not affect prosecutions for offenses committed before the effective date.
