Appropriates $100,000 in nonrecurring funds for each year of the 2023-2025 fiscal biennium to the North Carolina Foundation for Public School Children for the North Carolina Teacher Cadet Program.

Funds shall support statewide curriculum training workshops for teachers with both in-person and online ongoing support options.

Expands services in counties designated as development tier one areas, prioritizing schools with the highest teacher attrition rates from the 2021-2022 school year.

Develops and provides training for persons in underrepresented teaching demographics, including male cadets and cadets of color, drawing on current classroom teachers, postsecondary education students, and high school seniors as mentors.

Becomes effective July 1, 2023.
