Expands G.S. 14-34.1 to criminalize willful or wanton discharge of firearms or barreled weapons (capable of at least 600 feet per second muzzle velocity) in or on another's property without permission, on public streets or highways, or at public places where others are present as a Class E felony.

Maintains existing Class E felony charge for discharging weapons into occupied buildings, structures, vehicles, aircraft, watercraft, or other conveyances.

Maintains existing Class D felony charge for discharging weapons into occupied dwellings or occupied vehicles, aircraft, watercraft, or other conveyances in operation.

Maintains existing Class C felony charge when a violation results in serious bodily injury to any person.

Becomes effective December 1, 2023, and applies to offenses committed on or after that date.
