Consolidates breast cancer and cervical cancer screening coverage requirements into a single statute (G.S. 58-3-271) and repeals duplicate provisions in G.S. 58-65-92 and G.S. 58-67-76.

Requires health benefit plans to cover diagnostic and supplemental breast cancer examinations (including breast MRI, breast ultrasound, and diagnostic mammography) with cost-sharing requirements no less favorable than low-dose screening mammography.

Defines supplemental breast cancer examinations as screening for patients at increased risk based on personal or family medical history, or those with heterogeneously or extremely dense breast tissue per American College of Radiology standards.

Maintains existing coverage requirements for low-dose screening mammography based on age and risk factors, and for cervical cancer screening per American Cancer Society guidelines.

Becomes effective October 1, 2023, and applies to insurance contracts issued, renewed, or amended on or after that date.
