Allows certified school social workers to receive education-based salary supplements at the master's, six-year, or doctoral degree level regardless of whether a master's degree is required for licensure.

Modifies G.S. 115C-302.10 to expand eligibility criteria by removing the master's degree requirement for licensure as a condition for salary supplement qualification.

Appropriates $500,000 in recurring General Fund monies to the Department of Public Instruction to cover the cost of providing these salary supplements.

Becomes effective July 1, 2023, and applies beginning with the 2023-2024 school year.
