Increases annual General Fund appropriation to the State Fire Protection Grant Fund from $4.18 million to $15 million for fire protection services to State-owned buildings

Increases University of North Carolina receipts appropriation to the fund from $1.345 million to $2.5 million and expands eligible properties to include buildings owned by nonprofit corporations or foundations associated with UNC constituent institutions

Maintains Highway Fund appropriation at $158,000 and allows Department of Insurance to reserve up to 10% of General Fund appropriation for newly constructed or first-occupied State property

Allocates up to $250,000 annually for reimbursement of State lands emergency response services including search and rescue, wildfire suppression, and natural disaster response

Appropriates $11,222,487 in recurring General Fund and $1,155,000 in UNC receipts for the 2023-2024 fiscal year, effective July 1, 2023
