North Carolina's designated Protection and Advocacy Agency must submit quarterly reports documenting actions taken to advocate for persons with disabilities.

Reports must be submitted to the chairs of the House and Senate Appropriations Committees on Health and Human Services during legislative session.

During interim periods, reports must be submitted to the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on Medicaid and NC Health Choice and the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on Health and Human Services.

The General Assembly is encouraged to examine the Agency's activities to assess impact on current and future State budgets.

The Agency's ability to perform work within its governing laws remains unaffected by this reporting requirement.
