Requires governing bodies of public school units to adopt written policies prohibiting use of hemp products, including delta-8, delta-9, and CBD, in school buildings, facilities, campuses, and school property at all times.

Expands the article title from "Policy Prohibiting Use Of Tobacco" to "Policy Prohibiting Use Of Tobacco and Hemp Products" in North Carolina General Statutes Chapter 115C, Article 29A.

Mandates school policies include adequate notice to students, parents, and school personnel; posting of prohibition signs; and requirements that school personnel enforce the policy.

Permits hemp products to be included in supervised instructional or research activities in school buildings if faculty members oversee the activity and no smoking, chewing, or ingesting occurs.

Becomes effective upon passage and applies beginning with the 2023-2024 school year.
