Prohibits using discovery of, perception of, or belief about a person's sex, gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation as a defense to homicide charges under Article 6 of Chapter 14.

Prohibits using discovery of, perception of, or belief about a person's sex, gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation as a defense to assault charges under Article 8 of Chapter 14.

Clarifies that evidence of a victim's or witness's conduct, behavior, or statements remains admissible if relevant and otherwise lawful under existing rules.

Becomes effective December 1, 2023, and applies only to offenses committed on or after that date.

Does not affect prosecutions for offenses committed before the effective date, which remain subject to prior law.
