Allows chiropractic students enrolled in approved colleges to provide chiropractic services without a license while participating in preceptorship programs under direct supervision.

Defines "direct supervision" as requiring the supervising licensed chiropractor to be within the immediate patient treatment area and available to the student at all times.

Modifies G.S. 90-147 to establish an exception to the Class 1 misdemeanor charge for unlicensed chiropractic practice when students perform services under direct supervision as specified in G.S. 90-142.1.

Requires the North Carolina State Board of Chiropractic Examiners to adopt temporary rules to implement the provisions of this act.

Becomes effective October 1, 2023.
