Replaces fixed daily juror pay rates with compensation equal to the state minimum wage required by G.S. 95-25.3(a) for each hour of service for all jurors in the General Court of Justice, including petit jurors, coroner's jurors, and grand jurors.

Eliminates the previous tiered payment structure that paid $12 for the first day, $20 per day afterwards, and $40 per day for service exceeding five days in a 24-month period.

Maintains existing provisions for overnight accommodations and subsistence, sequestration meal provisions, mileage reimbursement for out-of-county jurors, and ferry toll exemptions.

Becomes effective December 1, 2023, and applies to jurors serving on or after that date.
