Requires day camps offering aquatic activities to have certified lifeguards with current Red Cross training or equivalent certification appropriate for the type of water body and activity.

Establishes lifeguard-to-child ratio of two lifeguards for the first 25 children and one additional lifeguard for every 15 children or portion thereof.

Mandates mandatory swim tests in public swimming pools before aquatic activities begin; children unable to swim across the pool must wear a properly fitted, U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket at all times during aquatic activities.

Requires lifeguard chairs positioned at minimum height of 6 feet from the ground and specifies life jacket requirements including appropriate sizing, good condition, and proper storage when not in use.

Prohibits participation in hot tubs, spas, saunas, steam rooms, portable wading pools, and other unfiltered, nondisinfected water containments; becomes effective June 1, 2024.
