Requires health care practitioners to wear identification badges displaying a recent photograph, name, type of license/certification/registration held, and license expiration date when providing patient care.

Allows written documentation displayed in the practitioner's office to substitute for badges if it clearly identifies the practitioner's license type, name, and credentials.

Prohibits health care practitioners from making deceptive or misleading representations about their license, certification, or registration in advertisements and communications.

Establishes violations as grounds for disciplinary action by licensing boards and allows injured parties to bring civil actions in Wake County Superior Court for injunctive relief, with each day of noncompliance constituting a separate violation.

Applies to 15 health care licensing boards including medicine, nursing, dentistry, pharmacy, optometry, chiropractic, psychology, and others, which must adopt temporary rules by October 1, 2023.
