Establishes minimum qualification of at least one year of experience as a teacher, school administrator in North Carolina, or member of a local or State Board of Education for candidates seeking election as Superintendent of Public Instruction.

Applies to individuals selected as a political party's candidate for election on or after the bill's effective date.

Appropriates $10,000 nonrecurring funds to the State Board of Elections for the 2024-2025 fiscal year to verify candidate qualifications.

Appropriated funds do not revert and remain available to the Board for purposes consistent with the act.
