County boards of elections must review records of deceased persons and those serving felony sentences, and challenge ballots cast by ineligible voters prior to 5:00 P.M. on the third business day before the canvass meeting.

Political advertisements created using generative artificial intelligence that depict false or misleading content must include a disclosure statement: "The content in this advertisement has been edited or created in whole or in part with the use of generative artificial intelligence (AI)," effective July 1, 2024.

County boards of elections must use signature verification software to check signatures on executed absentee ballots before accepting them, effective July 1, 2025; a pilot program in 10 counties tests this process through the 2024 general election with no ballots rejected based on signature verification failures.

Counties and cities may only alter their form of government structure following a local act if the alteration takes effect with the election subsequent to the next federal decennial census after the local act's effective date.
