Allows Chatham County Schools to open as early as the Monday closest to August 10, rather than the statewide requirement of the Monday closest to August 26

Removes the requirement for Chatham County to demonstrate "good cause" (such as historical weather-related closures) to obtain a waiver for an earlier start date

Permits schools with calendars ending the fall semester before December 31 to administer state assessments prior to the semester's conclusion

Applies exclusively to Chatham County Schools, effective beginning with the 2025-2026 school year
