Exempts Cumberland County Schools from state-mandated school calendar restrictions that currently require opening no earlier than the Monday closest to August 26 and closing no later than the Friday closest to June 11

Removes the requirement for Cumberland County to demonstrate "good cause" (such as 8 days of closures per year in 4 of the last 10 years due to weather or emergencies) to receive a waiver for earlier start dates

Grants the local board of education full authority to determine opening and closing dates for public schools in the district

Applies exclusively to Cumberland County Schools and takes effect beginning with the 2025-2026 school year
