Repeals Section 6 of Article XIV of the North Carolina Constitution, which currently defines marriage between one man and one woman as the only valid domestic legal union recognized by the state

Places a constitutional amendment question on the November 2026 general election ballot for voters to decide on the repeal

If approved by a majority of voters, the amendment takes effect January 1, 2027
