Requires written notice at least 15-60 days before any automatic renewal of six months or more, informing consumers of the renewal date and cancellation options

Removes previous exemptions for state-licensed insurers and entities regulated by the NC Utilities Commission, while retaining exemptions for banks, credit unions, and FCC-regulated entities

Effective January 1, 2026, applying to contracts entered into on or after that date
