Exempts Alamance-Burlington Schools from North Carolina's statewide school calendar restrictions that require opening no earlier than the Monday closest to August 26 and closing no later than the Friday closest to June 11

Removes the requirement for Alamance-Burlington Schools to demonstrate "good cause" (such as 8 days of closures in 4 of the last 10 years due to weather or emergencies) to obtain a State Board of Education waiver for earlier start dates

Grants the local board of education full authority to determine opening and closing dates for the school calendar

Applies exclusively to Alamance-Burlington Schools beginning with the 2025-2026 school year
