Repeals Section 27.7 of S.L. 2023-134, which previously gave General Assembly record custodians sole discretion to determine whether records are public and how to dispose of them

Establishes a mandatory retention period for General Assembly records equal to the longer of (i) when records have no further official use or (ii) 10 years

For individual legislators' records, the 10-year retention period begins when the member ceases serving in the General Assembly

Repeals Section 5 of S.L. 2024-16 regarding federal political committees and political organizations, with changes applying to contributions made or received after the effective date

Effective immediately upon becoming law
