Authorizes Yadkin County Schools and Davie County Schools to align their school calendars with Surry County Community College or Davidson-Davie Community College, bypassing standard state opening and closing date requirements

Current state law requires public schools to open no earlier than the Monday closest to August 26 and close no later than the Friday closest to June 11

Amends G.S. 115C-84.2(d) to add a new provision allowing local boards to match their calendars with community colleges serving their county

Applies exclusively to Yadkin County Schools and Davie County Schools as a local bill

Takes effect upon becoming law and applies beginning with the 2025-2026 school year
