Persons adjudicated incompetent and prohibited from filing court pleadings may only file through their guardian or legal counsel

Courts must strike any pleading filed directly by an adjudicated incompetent person and issue a "gatekeeper order" preventing future unauthorized filings

Exceptions allow incompetent persons to file without guardian assistance in cases against their own guardian/counsel, appeals of incompetency determinations, guardianship modifications, competency restoration actions, and cases where they are being sued

Administrative Office of the Courts must develop a database tracking all persons currently adjudicated incompetent, with updates for new adjudications, guardianship modifications, and competency restorations accessible to judges and clerks

Effective December 1, 2025, applying to actions brought or pending on or after that date
